An investor’s sensitivity to market volatility is primarily based their investment time horizon.  Although time horizon is important, it is only one element of determining risk tolerance and return expectations.  Even investors with very long time horizons may seek low or moderate returns from an investment due to other external factors.

Listening to, and discussing your questions not only enables us to recommend an ideal strategy, it allows you to better understand the strategy and its purpose.  You rely on us to provide answers and advice to questions you may not be familiar with.  As a professional advisor, we can’t rely on emotion to guide our decisions when markets move down.  Therefore, thoroughly understanding your risk tolerance increases the likelihood that your strategy will remain intact and working for you over the long term.
